Satellite TV Takes on Cable TV and PC Satellite TV
By Ryan Moreland

First and foremost, with the competitive market that is satellite tv there is no reason you should be paying top dollar. The cost of satellite tv whether it be on your television monitor or your PC monitor should be relatively 15% less than your standard cable packages. This is due in part to the simple fact that laying land lines and running cables across the world is simply not cost effective.

The second thing to consider when buying new satellite tv is ensuring the channels you watch the most are offered. It does not matter if the satellite company is offering 400 channels. If you like sports and ESPN is not offered then its simply not a good deal.

The third and final thing to consider is ensuring from somewhere on your property you have a clear view of the southern sky. Many of the people complaining about satellite do not have a clear view of the southern sky, thus the picture quality is not as good and they then hate satellite tv. An alternative to Satellite TV is which gets you over 3000 channels all on your computer.

It is important to remember when you see an offer for free satellite tv you are probably only getting the equipment for free and you will still have to pay a monthly fee. With PC Satellite TV you will get free satellite TV on your PC, but you most companies are charging you for the software you need to download and install to take advantage of this. Read the fine print on any satellite TV offer.
